General rules, reservation and cancellation conditions

This document contains the rules and conditions applicable to all students, local and foreign residents in Spain, enrolled in Hablo Educational Programs S.L. (HABLO).

General terms and conditions

  • Enrollment in the school implies acceptance of all these rules.

Attendance policy

  • Students must attend all classes on time.
  • The minimum required attendance is 80% of the classes. If this percentage is not met, the student will lose the right to receive their achievement certificate.
  • If a student is unable to attend a class, he/she must give at least 24 hours notice.
  • Classes cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be considered completed and cannot be rescheduled.
  • Las clases canceladas con 24 horas o más de antelación podrán reprogramarse, según la disponibilidad del centro.
  • Class days and times are fixed and form part of each student’s reserved slot.
  • If the student arrives more than 15 minutes late, the class will still be counted as completed.

Standards of behavior

  • Respectful treatment of teachers, staff and fellow students is mandatory.
  • Offensive language or inappropriate behaviour is not permitted.
  • Eating and drinking is not allowed inside the classrooms, except for water.
  • The consumption of alcohol or drugs is prohibited during any academic or cultural activity organized by the school.

Use of materials and resources

  • Students must take care of books and materials provided by the school.
  • It is forbidden to copy, distribute, or share school materials without express authorization.
  • Misuse of the school’s facilities, resources, or equipment may result in sanctions.

  • We are committed to protecting the privacy and integrity of all our students and employees.

Disciplinary actions

  • Failure to comply with these rules may result in penalties up to and including expulsion from the course, with no refund.
  • The school reserves the right to intervene in cases of repeated serious or minor behavior.
  • A system of warnings will be applied: three minor written warnings will result in definitive expulsion from the course without the right to a refund.
  • HABLO reserves the right to expel any student, at its sole discretion, in case of serious misconduct or when it deems that his/her conduct is incompatible with the rules and the proper functioning of the institution. In such cases, no refunds will be granted.

Reservation conditions, payment methods, changes and cancellations

  • The course must be paid in full before the start date, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the administration.
  • The reservation deposit is 50 €, which will be deducted from the total price of the course.
  • Payments can be made by:
    • Cash at the administrative office.
    • Credit or debit card.
    • Bank transfer.
    • Bizum, consulting the destination number in administration.
  • No refunds will be made once the course has started. In special cases duly justified with a medical certificate or other official document, the student may reschedule classes up to 1 month from the scheduled start date of the course.
  • In case of a refund, it will be made using the same method as the original payment.
  • Cancellations:
    • More than 14 days before the start of the course: full refund.
    • With less than 14 days: refund of the total amount minus the deposit of 50 €.
    • Once the course has started: there will be no refunds.
  • Additional services: in case of cancellation of additional services, such as activities, workshops or cultural outings, only 50% of the amount paid will be reimbursed.

Certificates and evaluation

  • To receive the certificate of achievement, the student must attend at least 80% of the classes and comply with the rules of behavior.
  • At the end of the course, the student will receive a satisfaction survey, participation in which is voluntary but very important for the continuous improvement of the school.

Special conditions and limitations

  • Transfer of class hours: in no case may the student transfer, assign or sell his/her course hours to another person.
  • Cancellation by HABLO: HABLO reserves the right to cancel a course for administrative or academic reasons. In that case, the student will be offered an equivalent alternative at the same price paid. If the student does not accept the option offered, the full course fee will be refunded.
  • Changes by HABLO: HABLO reserves the right to modify the course structure and schedule when necessary. For students already attending the school, any changes to the schedule will be communicated in advance, no later than 48 hours before the start of the course. These changes do not entitle the student to a refund. However, if HABLO is unable to offer a course, the student will be entitled to a refund of the corresponding fees.
  • Contracted activities: payment must be made at least 48 hours prior to the activity. If a student books an activity and does not attend, he/she will not be entitled to a refund.

Personal data and image rights

  • All personal data will be handled in accordance with current data protection regulations, in particular as set forth in the Organic Law on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights and the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • HABLO may take photos or videos for promotional purposes. Student data will be used, stored and protected in accordance with the GDPR and applicable data protection laws. If students do not wish to participate, HABLO will respect their wishes when notified.
  • Personal data will never be disclosed to third parties for commercial purposes without the express consent of the student.

Force majeure

HABLO shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations, and therefore shall not be obligated to pay compensation, if such failure arises from any cause beyond its reasonable control. Nor shall it be liable for any costs incurred by or on behalf of the student as a result of any such circumstances. Such causes include, but are not limited to, fire, flood, war, riot, embargo, organized labor stoppage, unusually adverse weather conditions, acts of civil or military authorities, acts of terrorism, pandemics and other acts of God.

Responsibility

HABLO shall not be liable for loss, damage or injury to persons or property. This includes, but is not limited to, services provided by external partners such as hosting providers, external activity guides and other external service providers. HABLO shall also not be liable if any service contracted to be provided by HABLO becomes impossible to provide due to reasons or causes beyond its control.

Modifications

  • The school may update these policies as needed.
  • Students will be informed of any changes officially and in writing.
