General objectives:

At this level, you will be able to understand the main ideas of clear, standard texts on familiar topics, whether in work, academic or leisure situations. You will be able to cope with most situations that may arise while traveling in areas where the language is spoken. In addition, you will be able to write simple and coherent texts on familiar topics or topics of personal interest, describing experiences, events, wishes and aspirations, as well as briefly justifying your opinions or explaining your plans.

As a social agent, the student carries out common transactions of daily life, beyond basic needs, in areas such as commerce, hospitality or public services. Participates and interacts socially in work, academic or social situations, and exchanges opinions on general or personal topics. They are able to cope with oral and written texts related to their tastes and preferences, identifying the main ideas to make value judgments.

As an intercultural speaker, he/she becomes aware of cultural diversity and approaches the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries in order to avoid the influence of prejudices, clichés or ethnocentric positions. Broadens their cultural, socio-cultural and linguistic knowledge to approach new realities. Reinforces their motivation and openness towards the culture of Spain and Latin America, accesses cultural references from different periods and applies in practice the characteristic social norms and behaviors. The student manages in intercultural situations of moderate complexity, using techniques that facilitate their performance.

As an autonomous learner, identifies, controls and flexibilizes the factors that condition his/her learning process, recognizing progress and deficiencies. Participates actively in the selection and planning of learning tasks and language use, as well as in group work. Selects the appropriate resources to consult, practice or reinforce their knowledge.
